Nice and peaceful campsite. The pods are lovely and warm as we discovered on a cold bonfire night and actually woke up to turn the heating off and open the window a little more. Within the pods there is also electrical sockets and a TV with Freeview too. The communal toilets and showers aren't very far from the main camp area and are well lit. The sleeping arrangements is in the form of a click clack sofa bed, if (there are 2 of you) and on the larger side it may be a bit of cuddle job to ensure your both comfortable. The beds are comfortable enough and a fan site more comfortable then what I imagine actual camping beds are like. The owner seemed lovely and very helpful with telling us the rules of the campsite and also a little local information too. Your also left an information sheet, and a list of all the chickens and their names. The newest addiction, blossom I believe she is called is a very inquisitive little thing and comes right up to be stroked.
We visited here at probably the worst time, October and it was wet, really wet. We stayed in one of the sites pods and have to say it was perfect in every way, it was clean and it was warm, so warm in fact we had to turn the heating off, the pod far exceeded our expectations. The whole site is kept in immaculate condition, the toilet and washroom block being very clean and smart with a nice area for pot washing etc. Steve and Janet are the perfect hosts but the stars are the hens (sorry Steve and Janet), they roam freely and are very friendly. I can usually be quite critical in my reviews but with Yapham holds I have nothing but good to say, I would not hesitate in booking a break here in the future. Thanks again steve and Janet
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Bell tent during the bank holiday weekend. The location was beautiful and the bell tent itself was very well presented. Very cosy, we both slept wonderfully in the bed which was really comfortable. There is a heater which kept us warm not that we needed it too much. The owner Steve catered for our every need ensuring we had a gas cooker upon our last minute request. His attention to detail, ensuring the bell tents and pods were up to a high standard added a lovely personal touch, and he was often on site for a chat if we needed anything. We look forward to returning over the Christmas period to stay in a pod! Thank you for a lovely weekend
Came here for a weekend away after us getting married. Absolutely beautiful place everyone is so friendly the owners are fantastic lovely people. Bell tent is stunning and so comfortable. Really cant rate this place enough so peaceful will definitely be coming back and will recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for making our stay just perfect. Really dont want to go home tomorrow. Love Clare and Andrew ORourke xxx
Excellent campsite, small and out of the way, but still close to main towns and facilities. Strict rules on keeping the site quiet which is much appreciated and makes this a ideal for getting away from it all. Clean and well maintained, we were in one of the pods, but would have been just as good for tent or caravan.
