This place is real hidden gem. Great for a lazy summer Sunday afternoon. Carp in the pond amazing - top tip get some fish food there and feed them. Good yearly ticket available. Cafe good.
Lovely small garden/lakes. Decent coffee shop. Not much flowering in October but free entry Mon to Fri (donations excepted)
Had a lovely time on a miserable day. Work being carried out in a few areas but it was good to see what the areas will look like when finished. Really enjoyed feeding the fish. Some of the carp are huge and very tame. Enjoyed lunch in the cafe and a browse in the shop afterwards too.
Love coming here. Lovely walk especially the fairy garden. Boys love feeding the fish and the playground where they can run off some steam. Nice little cafe for coffee and cake, or ice cream for the boys. Nice afternoon out
Recommended to us by friends who live nearby so we had no idea how different it is to the usual urban parks. If you like to feed fish rather than ducks then spend a 1 on fish food and prepare to be amazed. Lovely well kept paths round the grounds and Lakes make for safe walking so take your time and enjoy the sights. Some new areas under construction so will return next year and pick a Band concert day to add to our enjoyment.Cafe really good with great choice instead of the usual cakes and scones.Well impressed and not expensive for a long day out.
